Kathryn Almack is Professor of Health, Young People and Family Lives in the School of Health and Social Work at the University of Hertfordshire and leads the Research Group “Communities, Young People & Family Lives” in CRIPACC (Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care). She is a sociologist with a particular interest in the sociology of family lives and other close relationships of care in people’s lives, across the life course. She has a background in Community Development Work.
