Professional Doctorates

Within a supportive, multidisciplinary research environment, our doctoral programmes, delivered by the School of Health and Social work, the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care (CRIPACC) and the School of Life and Medical Sciences offer the opportunity to undertake original doctoral-level research under the supervision and guidance of two or more academic members of staff. Learning across all programmes is further supported by the University’s Researcher Development Programme, together with bespoke workshops and lunchtime sessions in our Research Hub.

  • The Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care (DHaSC) is a programme of advanced study designed specifically to develop the research and leadership capacity of health and social care practitioners and professionals.

Master Classes

The University & HCC PH run a series of free Public Health Master Classes each year for professionals with an interest in a broad range of Public Health disciplines and activities.

The Master Classes are suitable for any professional working in Hertfordshire with an interest in health. The aim of these events is to bring relevant, contemporary and beneficial insights and practice to all who have an interest in health in the County.

NIHR ARC East of England – Prevention and Early Detection in Health and Social Care Theme PhD Studentship
